Ingredients

  • Bread (any type or amount)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 250˚F (120˚C).
  • Place your bread slices in a single layer on baking sheets.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes, flip the slices over, and bake until crisp, about 5-10 minutes longer. Bread is finished when it is crunchy and snaps when you break the slices into pieces.
  • Remove the baking sheets from the oven and let the bread cool. Break up the slices with your hands, and place in a food processor. Pulse the food processor to grind the bread into crumbs with an even texture.
  • Store the breadcrumb in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in the pantry, or freeze for up to six months.
  • Add your homemade bread crumbs to your favorite recipes the same way you would use the store bought bread crumbs.
